Cardon Copy
I really enjoy art and design that is multipurpose and/or tries to improve upon an everyday issue. CARDON COPY takes everyday signs and redesigns them. Here is more:
“CARDON COPY, TAKES THE VERNACULAR OF SELF-DISTRIBUTED FLIERS AND TEAR-OFFS WE HAVE ALL SEEN IN OUR NEIGHBORHOODS. IT INVOLVES HIJACKING THESE UNCONSIDERED FLIERS AND REDESIGNING THEM, OVER-POWERING THEIR MESSAGE WITH A NEW VISUAL LANGUAGE. I THEN REPLACE THE ORIGINAL WITH THE REDESIGN IN ITS AUTHENTIC ENVIRONMENT.” [FormFiftyFive]

Henrich Zrubec Double Chair
Check out these fantastic chairs from Henrich Zrubec. The chair starts as one polycarbonate dual-color chair but after a quick pull they become two seperate chairs. Amazing for small apartments! I really like the color combinations.

Mexican Street Art
Great street art from Mexico! From Colectiva, they say:
“Amongst other things, Oaxaca is known for its mezcal, its long running revolutionary spirit, its great food, and its kick-ass urban art. Here then are 9 photographs that I shot as I walked through Oaxaca’s cobbledstoned streets that document its vibrant street art scene.”
Enjoy!

Liu Bolin – Camouflage Art
There have been so many fantastic clothing collections coming out as of late. I’m particulary found of the Billionaire Boys collection and now this collection/collaboration from Charles Peterson (noted photographer) and Number (N)ine (headed up by Takahiro Miyashita). A summary of the “Touch Me I’m Sick” Collection:
“Takahiro Miyashita of Number (N)ine worked with photographer Charles Peterson on a collection of garments bearing images from the early days of grunge. Drawing from Peterson’s book Touch Me I’m Sick, Miyashita printed fabric with photos of mosh pits and crowd-surfing, creating a camo-like collage pattern that adorns T-shirts, denim, and punk formalwear by way of a tuxedo and satin jazz shoes. We’ll be sad to see this label go – though word on the street is Miyashita will continue working with Peterson post Number (N)ine.”[HIGHSNOBIETY]

Sam Winston – Romeo & Juliet
Check out this incredible work by Sam Winston. The third section is coming soon. From It’s Nice That:
“…take the whole text of Romeo & Juliet, separate out every word said in passion into one pile, everything said in rage in another, and then a final group that wasn’t passion or rage. Finally arrange them lovingly in three collages, and what do you have? The latest piece of mastery from Sam Winston.” [It’s Nice That]
Crazy! The two posted are Rage (1st & 2nd Picture) and Passion (3rd & 4th Picture):

Paul Smith Paris
Just found this over at Selectism and it reminds me a lot of the Distillery District in Toronto. Paul Smith recently converted an old shop in Paris into his new store but really change to much aesthetically:
“It is an awesome example of old and new coming together and working perfectly and as Sir Paul Smith explained on his blog when it opened, “The very exciting point about the Grenelle shop is that it is in premises that have been empty since the 1980’s and is in a very ‘interesting’ state of decay! The walls are unpainted for many years, the floor tiles are the original, 80 year old shelves, everything dates back to the 1930’s when La Tourrette was opened by Monsieur Tourrette as a ‘Bougnat’; the left side of the shop selling coal, the right side selling wine.” [It’s Nice That]
